I'm assuming that there wasn't support/testing done for the types of harddrives I've yapped about? (They're the non LBA48 ones I've mentioned) I'm not near my Gamecube to test it.

But, I have been playing through Windwaker without much of a problem via SD card. Keep up the great work! :D

After playing Super Mario Sunshine almost flawlessly through SD card,after 30 minutes the sound suddenly stopped.This is the first game I tested for a lengthy time.Weird...

Sorry for my outburst, I just didn't want us IDE EXI users with only a GCN being left in the cold, you see I don't have any access to any of the following to dump games modchip, BBA, Wii, large enough sdcard, compatible pc cdvd drive etc, an sorry again if my forceful nature comes acrosss as rude.

Isn't there an app that can do the dumps in multiple parts? I could have sworn there was.... Although it's been a long time since I used anything other than my USB Gecko to rip GC titles so I couldn't say.

Yes but my 1GB SDcard isn't stable anymore, if I put more than 50MB of stuff on it now it results in curruption, thankyfully I can just store swiss on it and load other dols off the HDD.

What's quicker to add support to the IDE EXI for emulators adding full IDE EXI support or making a custom GCM image that uses the start.dol as the emulator and then allow the emulator to read the files from within a GCM image be it a ROM or CD Image so it just runs the emulator as if it where a normal GC game.

Formatting it doesn't help at all? Sounds like you need a new SD card.

Nope i've even tried overwriting the whole 1GB with a dummy file, it stalls after writing around 50-100MB, odd thing is there's no fragmented files or errors on it. I suppose it could be a problem with my sdcard reader though as the GC is still able to mount it properly, is thier anything I could do at lower level?

Successfuly booted Swiss through PSO. But I have a bug when I try to load a DOL file (8Mb) from SD. I have a message : "DOL is too big" then "Invalid DOL".

I am sure this DOL file is not corrupted. Why Swiss won't load this file ? (this is a Gamecube demo from Hitmen).

This file works and run when I use PSOload.

I'd say give it a shot in another reader if you can.

Will do, I think it stopped working properly when I accidently mounted it via swiss using the IDE EXI option instead of SDGecko, might worth adding some auto detection for the SDGecko and IDE EXI to disable being able to mount one in another just to be safe, I doubt people are using a IDE EXI in both slots.

If Slot A = IDE EXI
then disable Slot A in SDGecko device selection.

If Slot B = IDE EXI
then disable Slot B in SDGecko device selection.

Humm... I must have a gmail account to make a bug report ?

Another question :

Is it technicaly possible to run an app from the GBA player cart slot ? (app on a supercard for example, not only GBx games but all kind of programs who work on GC ). Use GBA player ressources to act as storage device

emu_kidid, hi! This is my first post here! Sorry for the poor english!
Congrat's for the fantastic job with Swiss!! This app is really amazing!!
I'm using it with the Wii SD Adapter on my Dol-101 Gamecube.

I dunno if you noticed it, but, almost all the games that doesn't boot with swiss, boots when you apply the fastfix with the F S T command!
It worked for me with the Wind Waker portuguese translation iso and Ikaruga.

I tested these games on my sandisk 2gb sd card, formatted on FAT32:

- RE0: Buggie sound, like the other users related;
- Zelda WW: almost flawless, with minnor loading issues;
- Ikaruga: almost perfect;
- Killer 7: runs well, but freezes sometimes.

I'll report other things later. Thank's veeeery much for the awesome job!

The write support for the IDE-EXI is not 100%. it is known to corrupt files.

Well,I just noticed something that I hope will be really helpfull.

I play Swiss using Wii with component cables.Actually,I have as a default resolution 480p.Every time I was trying to boot a PAL GC iso (with Wii in 480p) the result was a black screen.
Today,I did not switch off the TV immediately and after around 30 seconds the GC game autobooted displaying in 480i 60hz.After that I tried another game with a 50/60 hz selection with exactly the same results.Finally,I decided to give a try to a game that does not support 60hz (Wave Race BS) which resulted in failure.Black screen.My conclusion is that these 30 seconds of black screen actually were the first screen in 50hz where the game asks you if you want to switch to 60 hz.If you do not press anything for 30 seconds the game starts automatically in 60hz mode.So, Swiss cannot switch yet from 480p to 576i,while it does it with no problem with 480i.

Emu_kidid,I hope that you find my post usefull! :-)

It has some problems while loading this GCM file. Run from SD on slot 2. 2Gb SD fat32 formated.

I don't know why, file is only 40mb size... The code dump after loading..
