Can you try forcing the video mode to PAL in Swiss and let me know if that changes anything?

After I forced the video mode to PAL it somehow disconnects my gamecube from the tv. It's as there was no signal.

Had a chat with WiiPower on IRC - lots of things to improve when I get some time :)

Buy a cheap game for $4 and use it.

Also, checklist for running something from SD Card:

1. Make sure you're using 100% clean rips to boot from SD card.
1a. If they're not 100% clean, use FSTFIX and rebuild the ISO to full size.
2. Make sure you're NOT using any Datel/CodeJunkies disc in the drive.
3. Check that the file placed on the SD card is not fragmented AT ALL.

If all of these fail, post the md5 sum of your ISO file and I will take a look - only if it's a genuine file that is.
Not sure that I follow. So you can use SDML to boot Swiss but then you need to take it out and replace it with a game? I'm interested in trying it on one of my unmodded cubes.

I can't get any game running whatsoever. I've tried multiple games that people have said worked. I've tried different SD cards, different boot discs, different versions of the same game to no luck. SD-Boot 0.4 RC4 works great and many of the games that don't work on Swiss work on SD-Boot. So I know that the image files and my SD cards are fine. I really would like to get Swiss running some games.

Hello

I saw the news and I could not help but wonder. I have a console without modchip. You indicate that you can run your program with a game like Original Boot Disk. How?

I have this adapter from DX

As far as I know, you can only use these methods on the gamecube:

1. Action Replay + SD Gecko (Note: it need SDLoad and only works with normal SD)
2, Phantasy Star Online Ep 1&2 + BAA
3. DOL flashed on Viper or Qoob modchips
4. Xeno modchip + DOL on a bootable disc
5. SD Media Launcher (Note: Only works with normal SD)

It's been a LONG time since I dusted off my gamecube with a Viper Extreme modchip installed. Can anyone confirm if Swiss can be flashed as a plugin or is my only option to burn to a disc?

I was wondering, why can't SDML or Action Replay bes used to launch Swiss?

In my configuration I'm using a DVD with GCOM to load a DOL from the DVD. The Dol loaded is Ninja-Shell 2.1 which has Costis SD Loader.
From NinjaShell I load Costis SD Loader and with this last one I'm loading Swiss from an SD card.

The problem is I'm getting black screen with all the games I've tried (Two japanese, Naruto Ninja and DON, and a PAL one: Chibi Robo, which gets black screen after selection the Hz of the screen).

Is the way I'm loading the Swiss DOL the reason the games don't play?
I'm guess the only thing left to do is try some USA games, to see what happens.

My GC is an NTSC console with component out (but I've got no component cables D': ), IPL version 1.1 and that's it.

Any ideas.

I've uploaded revision 7 - it mainly fixes Zelda CE but maybe more. Be sure to run the pre-patcher before though (for Zelda CE).

My Zelda CE NTSC still does not load any zelda game. Works fine till presentation screen. :(

But now, Resident Evil Remake (NTSC) Works! Gameplay perfect, real time cutscenes perfect. Usual slowdonws in CG cutscenes. Static sounds on loads.
How to change "discs" using swiss? <---Edit: i think it's just push reset, swiss screen shows up then load the second iso.

Don't forget to mention if you are running a wii or gc. I think there might a wii issue for this game that could be related to Wind Waker not working from sd on a wii.

Ardiloso, check the first post, I've added info how to boot/use 2 disc games from SD/HDD.

Also, IDE-EXI support is broken in r7 - fixed it but I will have to wait until tonight to upload a new binary.
