Emu-kidid,how far are we from the next official release?
-Have you solved the Luigi's Mansion issue yet?
-Are the PAL 50hz games now completely patchable to display in 480p?(BG&E,PoP games,Skies of Arcadia etc.)

Finally,is it possible to upload for us the last revision for testing?

panmusic, I'm going to spend a bit of time on Luigis mansion soon and most 50Hz games are now completely patchable to 480p :)

It's really close to release, just a few minor things here and there..

Do you have a Wii or a gamecube? The issue only happens on a Wii because of the hardware differences of both systems.

WiiPower: i'm indeed using swiss on gamecube

Emu-kidid: i tested r90 but I was not very successful but there's progress

- LoZ Ocarina of Time multipack PAL (not shrinked!): swiss pre-patches the clean image, i am now able to see the title screen (high level /disables interrupts) to launch a game but same issue as before appears after pushing A (Nintendo warning)
- Starfox Adventures PAL (shrinked): no succes if patches are apllied. if I do not enter the patch settings menu and launch the game, I am able to get in the game, create a savegame... but the game freezes on black screen as soon as started the actual game (after loading savegame). i will test with non-shrinked image later today.

there's progress :D

Arrgh. You must not shrink audio streaming games. Well, if you had a shrinker that respects the alignment of audio streams, it would be fine.

If the game tries to play an audio stream that is not correctly aligned, it gets an error before the game tells the drive to play the stream. If Swiss patches the dvd audio commands, the patched audio commands can't avoid this error.

Well, Swiss could manipulate the fst to virtually align the audio streams. It would be a nasty hack, because if the game would actually read the audio stream file(s) for whatever reason with the regular read, it would get wrong data. Thinking further about this could lead to a shrinker that removes all audio streams to save more space, while keeping the game playable on all methods that can't play audio streams anyways.(Swiss in SD Gecko mode or NeoGamma with discs count to these)

PS: emu_kidid you could add a warning if Swiss finds unaligned audio streams. NeoGamma has them, even if/when 99% of people just ignore them and ask why games don't work.

well i was also thinking about this recently... cant we rip the audiostreams which would make those games easier to run?

edit: i tested starfox adventures PAL (non-shrinked) and i'm getting one screen further, but it also ends with the nintendo warning. it's hit and miss, sometimes it locks up on the first screen too...

I wonder if Swiss can support SDXC cards.I understand that SDXC cards are not compatible right now but is it possible in a future release?

emu_kidid i just saw your new audio streaming code, and i have to say it looks a bit suspicious to me. Are 4 bytes really enough to identify those functions without error?

WiiPower, they're pretty unique but I am going to generate signatures for them anyway..

hii, happy xmas and new year; okey i used swiss for one month on my wii (ntsc, 4.2) and is reallly nice , but i tried to run mario party ,5,6,7 but all get freezed (nintendo logo 6,7 , push start mario party 5) , only mario party 4 works fine. i was searching on internet and a lot of users of pal wii or gc pal said that mario partys works . my point is why only pal vercions works and ntsc doesn't work?

i am using swiss rev 62 and rev 69

emu_kidid: i want to apologize for previously erroneous info

i re-tested starfox adventures PAL with swiss r90 and the game is running perfect with default low patches and dvd motor enabled. just some sound issues when loading.

i had a backup dvd sitting in my gamecube instead of an original gamecube game (sorry). i will test loz ocarina of time later on.

the game boots, but freezes as soon as you selected the savegame

I am still working on things before release but I promise a pre-xmas release ;)

.. but I have just got backups working without a drive/disc in the drive too - just needs a bit of work at the moment :)
