Swiss ECID collection

Post by emu_kidid » Thu Feb 03, 2011 1:18 am

Could everyone who owns a GC or Wii please run Swiss and go to the Credits/About menu and report to me the values shown after the ECID?

This number is unique to each and every Gamecube and Wii ever produced. It would be very interesting if we found out what the bits in it are. For example, it might show manufacture date (year, week, month, day), and other cool things like where it was produced, etc.

Please post them here with the relevant info, such as:
Console purchase date
First few numbers of the serial if it's a Wii
Full serial if it's a GC
Console Region
Console Color

If you have many consoles, run it on all of them - the more data the better :)

If you want to remain private about the info, please submit them to me via PM and I will not make them public.

Should be interesting to see if we can extract some useful data from this number :)

I bought my Gamecube 2002/12/XX so I guess there were still old dvd drives floating around back then. When did you buy yours? Or where?

Swiss can't show me my console IPL. Some years ago I've replaced my Gamecube IPL with a similar one, but in spanish language, to play PAL and some Activision NTSC games translated in that language. Also, in the credits appears that Swiss is booted in a Wii.

While I wait for my IDE-EXI to come in, I guess I'll add my info to the pile. But seeing as no one's added Wii info, I guess I'll go ahead and ask.

What would be adequate to leave out? I assume it's for privacy sake. So drop what, 2 numbers off the end? Or 3?
