How to boot Swiss with XenoGC and IDE-EXI

I'm happy to see that swiss gets new releases rapidly!
I have cube and soon IDE-EXI adapter. I use XenoGC so I need to make bootable disk with the swiss dol burned on the disk or use SD load to load swiss from sd-card?

Would it possible to store the swiss dol file on the hard disk and make a bootable disk which then automatically loads swiss from the hd? That way I wouldn't need to burn new dvd every time I want to use new version. Using SD load to load swiss from sd gecko on port A and then switching to memory card is not practical either.

Just burn a bootable dvd with swiss (latest revision) on it.

You can than boot any new version of swiss from hdd with this dvd.

It could be, that ide-exi support will be better with a higher revision, than you should burn a new disk with latest revision.

Just the version from googlecode? Because I dont have my LPT cable here for my viper...
Edit: No I can't burn the dol file to a DVD. I renamed it to .iso but it's not working - I tried ImgBurn 2.5.5.0 and the Windows 7 image burnin function.

You need to actually create a bootable disk, not just rename it to .iso.
Look at the ISO tools in the loaders/utilities section. There is probably is a tool to create one with ease.

As said before, you must create a bootable disc, that your gamecube can read.
The setup I use, is attached in this post. I included swiss 0.1 r29.
Just insert the latest swiss-lz.dol in the folder "disc" and rename it to "bootldr.dol".
Then execute make.bat (or make.sh if you use linux).
You will get "disc.iso", 1.35 gb, that you can now burn with ImgBurn or similar.

Hey thanks. I was already about to ask for a good iso tool. A few minutes ago I tried out the GC Bootable disc GUI 0.1.2 RC3 but nah...
I try out your way. Next step is burning :)

Did it work?
Or do you still have any problems with this?

It worked fine and I'm amazed! I never got to run a homebrew disc on my xeno! I used SDML all the time! NOW I'M FREE! WAHAHAHAHA!
ct_the_1 thank you!

Hello guys, im new in this forum, I have a xeno gc, i'll order a second hand NGC, I also ordered a shitty fake SD Gecko from aliexpress. Is there any way to do USB loading ?
Also I have a big DVD case to use big dvd instead of the mini, can I burn swiss on a big dvd and it will work with the XenoGC ?
Otherwise, i'll try to buy mini-DVD.
Is there any special dvd burner requirements ?

No usb loading (yet) other than with a wode if you can even find one.
You can burn swiss to a full size DVD to use with the xeno.
As far as swiss is concerned just burn the iso at 4x and it should work anyway, you probably won't need nearly as much pot adjustment to boot it as full games, if at all, but you don't really need to burn games anyway.
