Trying to install Swiss and GBI, but all I have are SDHC cards

Post by Knuxie » Sun Mar 03, 2019 1:04 am

So, literally nobody sells the old style SD cards anymore. Walmart was a headache, target had nothing, bestbuy was no good, nothing at Staples. I really dont want to buy on Amazon and wait 2 days.

Is there any way, at all, to get this software booted using an 8gig SDHC card? Or a 32gig MicroSDHC card?

I tried partitioning the SD to 1.40gigs and formatting at exFAT, but no dice.

Unless I'm straight-up installing incorrectly.

I'm using an NTSC gamecube, Eon GCHD MK2 to PVM via SCART
a "WiiSD" media launcher
And the Action Replay disc

It just keeps booting straight to the list of game codes.

Action Replay/SD Media Launcher don't support SDHC at all. Do you have a Wii? If so, set up a memory card for a game exploit and then boot directly into Swiss/GBI from there (and Swiss will allow SDHC to work).

Nintendo introduced SDHC support for Wii games in 2009. Years after the Gamecube SD adapter was released.
Still, yeah, Gamecube software can use SDHC if written to do so.
