Controller Modding Help!

Post by Aperture » Wed Dec 04, 2013 5:42 am

Hi everyone!

I'm new to all this, I'm doing well so far, but I just have a few questions about the controller. I've seen some posts about "Cutting the Controller" but most of them tell me where the ports are and where to solder, etc. When I see a Portable with a horizontal portrait, how is the controller set up? It's obviously modded to be wider than an actual controller. Do I need to cut up the circuit board of the Controller and then solder the ports together with some wire so they extend out? If so, what gauge of wiring should I use, and what do I use to cut it?

Thank you!

Hey, I've never taken a controller apart before, so I'm not the best guy to answer :)
However if you be a little more specific of what you are trying to achieve, I am sure that
someone here will be willing to help. Cheers ;)

BTW it would be cool to know how to make your own wireless controllers, I wonder...

Use something like this: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1568 then wire out all your buttons/etc.
