Ashen wrote:Got my Wiikeys yesterday :) I'm having some odd issues though. It seems to be along the same lines as the trouble that bearteam is/was having. Only worse.

1. The eject switch acts oddly. Before I updated to 1.5 it worked fine. I'd switch on the system and it would autoload the bootloader in the "disc Channel" and I could launch it but since it wasn't updated it couldn't read the SD card properly. Updated to 1.5 on the GC fine and now it does not autoload the loader on boot and every time I press the eject switch it freezes the GC. ONLY if I press it RIGHT after boot before the cube spins up does it work correctly and not freeze the GC.

2. Every single iso i've tried to load hangs at the same point bearteam described. I cant even get 1 game to load properly :(
Ashen, try to offer Wiikey Fusion with 5V from GC mobo other than 3.4V, if you don't want to shorten the wires, that may work for you.

Resident Evil 2 (NTSC-U) loads for me. Only game so far I've gotten to boot. I'm not sure how you guys have the eject switch wired up. I'm still using the same switch that I always have. I disconnected the 1.9v line though. Every time I press the eject after the GC boots up it just freezes the GC. Which leads me to believe there is something wrong there. :/

Edit: Also, DAMN Zenloc! that board is looking really nice man. Will be crazy if you can fit it all in a PSP case... Thanks for providing the proper way to connect audio and video. It'll save me alot of tracing ;)

Are there different revisions of the wiikey fusion? possible that maybe we have a newer/older version of the chip than emu, abb and zenloc do? I'm just at a loss here... starting to get very frustrated.

quick question though: what is the LCD you're using for the display? any specs you're willing to share at this point?
looking forward to your final guide...

Getting allot of questions about the screen. It's one from hailrazer's 3.5" comparance guide. I got it from ebay. It is indeed running off 3.4v. The lowest it can run from is 3v. It has no brightness and contrast buttons. Those that do will not run on 3.4v. Check benheck or modretro for the guide.

Ashen, did you hook up 3.3v to 32, GND to a switch and 29, as well as proper GND?

I already tried downgrading to v1.3 and it made no difference. Try booting resident evil 2 or zelda collectors edition and see if they boot. Those are the only 2 games i've gotten to run. What region Gamecube are you using?

I'm using 1.5.

Can you guys boot the wiikey menu? if so, it's working fine, and the issue is your games.

All of my .iso's are "scene" released backups. Untouched, unshrunk and all run fine in dolphin emulator on PC and the ones ive burned run fine on my Wii.

My games are redumped ones released by Oneup. I am sure they are without any porblem. I tried to replace the apploader.ldr of games unable to run with apploader of Resident Evil 2, and I could see the banner in the GamePlay menu. But when I tried to start game, there was black screen left. If I don't replace them , I can only get a "?" in the GamePlay menu.
So I think our wiikey fusion may be different than Emu and Zen's. Our versions may have some bugs when dealing with apploader.

That sucks man, if only these prices from taobao where in yen, then it wouldn't be a huge loss.

Are you using the 4.0 game manager? did you try another SD card? Those are some strange issues.. are your region switches setup properly too? mine had a yellow sticker on the back, I doubt the chips are clones since the serial has to be genuine to get updates.

Yes to all, I've been through everything and checked many times... I think it may be the motherboard revision. I've got one of my cut boards 95% wired up, I need to sleep though :/
