Awsome!emu_kidid wrote:Tested it some more.. compatibility is 100%.. it's even playing things that the wiikey fusion couldn't (cross region/shrunk ISOs)! Wired it up just like a fusion (switch on 29 to go to gnd and NC), I don't even have a switch on 23/12 but the switch on 29 behaves like a lidswitch..
I had to plug one of the USB cables into an external power source to light up the Wode screen and power a 2.5" USB hdd.
Ashen, zenloc, do you think the GC has enough power to support the Wode LCD backlight + USB hdd on the 5v line or do I risk blowing up the power supply?
By the way, do you have any pictures? I love seeing those setups.emu_kidid wrote:Tested it some more.. compatibility is 100%.. it's even playing things that the wiikey fusion couldn't (cross region/shrunk ISOs)! i knew i should have waited to get the wiikey fusion another couple of days...emu_kidid wrote:zenloc, I used the Wode lcd to pick games, but also the GC menu. I think if setup to boot the CFG (GC menu) by default and then saving the settings, you can get away without the slave board - but where would you wire up the hdd/etc
I will get my dremel and make a nice space for the LCD to sit when I get some time

now, off to get a wode...
I know :/Dragoon wrote:Damn.. why is this wode so f-ing expensive!!! I can't afford it as a poor student...
Its good to know the problem is on both systems. Maybe the Wiikey guys will fix it in the future. Anyone sent any bug reports to the wiikey guys yet? Maybe I'll contact them.Abb_eliten wrote:I hope the Wiikey guys can get Luigi's Mansion to work properly (same freezing on my Wii aswell)
does anyone has an idea of what that thing is called?Ashen wrote:The part that is the issue is the male connector for the GC DVD drive. If someone could find that connector with the pins attached I could easily solder up 100+ of them to an adapter board in a day or two.
Alas, the dvd connector is nowhere to be found. Therefor no solderless adapters.
that looks like the label for the connector, not the type/name of the connector ni question...Ashen wrote:Hmmmm... CN101????
