Planing to. but i need to test it to make sure it works. actualy this solder board was same as XENOGC soldering. now im thinking a way to supply the WODE board. A lot of test i wanna do like, keeping the existing mini DVD optical drive parallel with the WODE, and use Wii DVD drives out of the WODE mainboard. haha....if you guys have tested it, please tell me. hehe

I mean the power supply. the WODE needed 12v, 5v, 3.3v, and gnd for supply. im thinking a good way to connect the supply to the WODE.
hehe....sorry for any language misunderstanding.....:P

For the WODE. The only power you need is 3.3v and 5v. 12v is not used at all. It may be possible to draw both the 3.3v and 5v from the Gamecubes DVD drive connector, I did not have time to do extensive testing on the maximum amp draw through the GC DVD connector port though. Which is why I made these connections separate for my adapter.

This is the connector that supply's the WODE with 3.3v/GND (its the regular Wii DVD drive power connector):

And here is where the WODE needs 5v/GND input on the back of the slaveboard to power the USB hard drives:

Hope this helps.

Nice work on the adapter board. I admit that I looked at the pictures before and didn't understand the fuss. Then I looked at them again and saw the adapter board in the lower left corner. It really does blend in.

On/Off switch wired between. The GC needs the signal when a disc in changed in multidisc games for both working modchips.

Guys, again...need ur help. I power up my set up with , Lid swith (12->23) short, Wii pin 29 short to gnd.
I update WODE firmware to 1.28, it can't read in the cfg.iso (WODE). Once I update 2.00 and above, I manage to boot into Linux (Autoboot cfg.iso) and enter the black screen (with white words) to select games. After selecting games, The Gamecube says can't read the games.
Why? Anything wrong with my set up or it is my soldering problem?

Hmmm. Hard to say then if its your connections or not. Do you have a Wii DVD drive handy you could try?

As far as Wii DVD drives go. All GC's should work with them. As far as the WODE goes, no one has extensively tested with all revisions of GC's yet. So its hard to say. The Wiikey Fusion seems to not like the very early NTSC model motherboards. DOL-CPU-10 and some DOL-CPU-11 with IPL v1.0 to be specific.

Big found Ashen. Make sure the WODE setting Game Patching is turned OFF or u might getting "disc could not be read". I played the games with WODE firmware 2.8B. You may put it to your tutorial to let everyone know.

I have try FW1.28....It can't load the wode cfg.
I can load linux with FW2.00 and above. It can boot wode cfg. We must first be sure that the Game Patching in wode setting is off else we get "disc can't read". I have tested with my DOL-001 USA. don't know the other.

Ashen, does the 23(wii)->12(GC) on/off switch act as eject switch for Wii disk drive?
I have succesfully make my gamecube work with WODE. now im going to try with Wii disk drive.

Those two pins control the GC's lid switch signal. The (normally closed) pin 29(wii) to GC ground connection simulates the "eject" signal.
