I mean having the fusion + DVD.
Zenloc said he tried with the Wii DVD drive and it wouldn't pick up the discs, it only ever loaded the linux bootloader. Maybe once mine get here and I have some spare time i can try with a regular GC drive. Somehow i doubt its going to work though and even if it did it will probably only work with original copys. But hey, you never know.

Still waiting on some stuff to get here... Wiikeys/adapters. Tried some vac forming today and it didnt go so well. I think the plastic I used was too thick though. I'll try again tomorrow with some thinner stuff :)

Bummer I hope my SD Gecko adapter arrives soon. I can't wait to play a gamecube game again all my originals are in storage + Wii won't load disc backups without a chip and I really don't want chip it..... Oh and of course my chipped cube is currently destroyed.

A little off topic, but does anyone know how much Amps the 3.3v and 12v lines are off that DOL-001 internal power board?

bearteam, could you help me (us) out to get some bulk (perhaps 100 for now) adapters from that guy on taobao? A simple guide on how to get in communication would be nice, but if they're non-english speaking, are you willing to be the go between (assuming you did it direct)?

It'd be nice to sell them at $2.80 each on the store so everyone can get modding ;)

I talked to the seller, and he said if you want order 100 pcs, each would cost you 2.3 us$. But this is the rough price, you could talk to him about the price. Cheaper by dozen :) But, the seller don't understand English:(

Got the Wiikey fusion hooked up and working!!

Note, I had forgot to hook up GND so it took a bit of screwing around to get it stable :P

2.3$ is a steal especially compared to the protoadvantage connectors that cost me 40$.... that still aren't here...

Very nice emu! did you just bridge all the grounds together?

I think I may have an idea of how to get multidisc games workingwith the wiikey. I'll have to test it when they finally arrive... though it looks like foundmy is still screwing around.... ><

I only put GND to a single pin on the wiikey from the GC mainboard and the wiikey did the rest. multi disc games, how are they supposed to work on the wiikey fusion?

That's just it. I don't think multi disc games that DON'T allow you to save before switching discs are supported. But I think we may possibly find a way around this with 2 SD cards, possibly a bit of hex editing and a switch wired in to simulate lid open/closed.

no its not crazynations ide adapter. cause you can see that the hdd is connected to the memory card slot b and not on the connector of the dvd drive.

Could it be Chinese yuan instead of yen?

180 yuan is around €20.

Got my Fusion today. Works perfectly :D

Don't know if you already know this,
but I noticed you actually don't need to feed pin 29 with 1.9 volts to get the Fusion to load the bootloader.

Just a switch between pin 29 and ground is enough

Only with Fusion, that is

Interesting, you're not getting any errors when playing games?

Nope, no errors yet.

I'm going through my game library right now to test it more thoroughly

Yeah, I put a switch which will GND pin 29 and that was it, you can't start it up with that connected, you must do it after. The loading times are insanely fast!

Region free behaves like so:
Game will show up in the IPL, you can click on it too but it will black screen. We can pre-patch these games if required.
