I have a Pluto 2 HDMI board installed in my gamecube. What parts do I need to perform the firmware update? Im currently on 2.4b and would like to have the latest FW installed.

You need KNJN's TXDI programming board or a JTAG programmer. Take a look at KNJN's documentation and gcvideo's documentation.
