Could someone help me convert mcs to bin

Post by 64801965 » Tue Dec 24, 2019 4:51 pm

Last days I bought a GCVideo to hdmi adapter named HDMycube Pro, and nowadays they discontinue their support for GCVideo firmware and shut down their web site. So I could find GCVideo firmware on github but they come with mcs format file, bit and xsvf files, the only way to flash the board which named Spartan on the chip is to ues bin format file according to HDMycube's instruction. So could someone know how to convert mcs/xsvf format to bin format? Thanks in advance!

You can do so using promgen found in the Xilinx ISE Design Tools, but I'm not sure which pin definitions that board uses.

HDMy Cube regular/Pro are both gcplug PCBs but with different casing. The pin def are available on citrus' github. HDMy Cube worked with insurrection industry on their component cable and are still somewhat active on twitter. You're going to have to build or ask someone with the build environment setup to build you the firmware as it's not in ikorb's gcvideo build.
