The Wii DVD drive requires a different type of eject switch than the ones I bundled in. It needs a normally closed switch going to ground. Then, when opened (pressed) gets switched to 1.9v to drive the eject signal high. Thats why eject wasnt working for you, because the 1.9v is not needed for the WODE/Wiikey (again I didnt expect anyone to use these for an actual Wii DVD drive).

It is possible to connect both the WODE and the Wii DD to the GC at the same time via FlatWODE. You would need to change the above mentioned switch though so eject would work.

Ashen, I'm looking for a front panel, or a complete box for replacement purpose. Do you have anything to part from considering all those broken cubes?

one flat cable wasnt connected proper. reconnected all flat ribbon cables and now it boots :)
mode firmwareupdate to the read only version 2.8.

but it wont load any iso. every time i start the game it says iso ejected and then it refuses every iso.
I tried it with the wode config disc.

€dit:

got it to work right now. the problem with ejecting was an issue with the wode settings. the setting stealth mode was the reason for that.
and i found the reason for the nonworking LCD with white backlight.
the flat ribbon cable which is between the LCD and the WODE Board has problems.

but i dont need the LCD when the wode menu is working :)

now my gamecube is nearly complete.
