Thanks guys! Awesome to hear you're enjoying your portable still emu!

I know the unit looks a bit fat, and in all rights it is a bit thick. Its about twice the size of a PSP as far as thickness goes. Just think of sandwiching 2 PSP's together and holding them. Its actually not uncomfortable to hold though and I've kept the unit extremely light which helps. I played a bunch of mario kart on it last night and it plays like a dream. :D

That's really nice. Does this baby have an option to scale the resolution to 4:3 since the majority of gamecube games doesn't support 16:9?

The screen that I used: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-4-3-LCD-Ca ... 0565575929

actually isnt a true 16:9 screen, it just takes a 4:3 image and stretches it across the whole screen. That being said, yes. you can switch the screen back to 4:3 if the stretching bothers you. I don't really mind it much though. :)

Video is up! Enjoy!

I have a very similar screen too. Does yours also flicker sometimes?

Once in a while right after you power it on. I thought maybe it did that cause I had cut the driver board though. It seems to be fine once its powered on for like 30+ seconds. Good to know its a regular occurance. Cheapy screens, go figure.

I'm going to shoot for 1cm thinner and without that large hump on the back for the fan. :D

I'm still not entirely sure its feasible though.

New video added also:

Fusion Micro Rev. 2:

(Crappy iPhone pics for now)

Its not actually 100% done, if you look you can see I need to fill in the spot where the original 5v power connector for the PSP went. Other than that I need to dab some touch up paint in spots and remove the superglue I managed to get on the face of the X button. Minor stuff.

New/Better features in this model:
1cm thinner!
Full analog trigger compatibility.
Pal Motherboard - Compatible with Luigi's Mansion :D
Official Nintendo controller + Rumble
Louder audio amp, as I kept the onboard preamp this time.

Better pics and video on request. :D

Just when I thought a portable Gamecube cannot get any better you prove me wrong by bringing a more awesome one to the table. Awesome!

Thanks everyone! Now, onward to internal batteries! Hehe.

Here's a little sneak peak of the Gamecube Fusion Rev. 2 casework that I've got done so far, not very far along but it will give you an idea of the plans for the new model.

Hopefully I'll be able to shave about 1cm off there when its all said and done, I've still got to measure stuff for this one though so I've left it a bit fat for now.

ashen, what kind of controller you used on the first fusion micro? is it those "wii classic controllers"?
i'm meaning the controller you comparated with a sd card. This is pretty small! i'm planning on make a gcp and want a cutted controller like that :D

Yep, any of the ebay knockoff "classic controllers" made for the GC can be cut that small.
