Cut a hole for the wode screen

Post by andzlay » Tue Oct 11, 2011 1:28 pm

Hey folks

I got the wode and the adapter flying around, but I still haven't installed it yet, because I want it to look nice.
I thought about using a dremel for cutting a hole in the disc lid but I'm not familiar with the dremel stuff.
Then I heard about 3D Printing service where you can send 3d files and they print it in plastic. Quite cool but I don't understand Google SketchUp so I've given up that too.

But is here anyone who's used to SketchUp or other 3D Software to create the disc lid? I guess it would look really nice and you don't have to cut with a dremel - you just swap the lid

thats actually a pretty nice idea...since i'm thinking about where to put my wode screen, too
on the other hand if we can find a nice 3D printing or in general moulding service we could reproduce the icedcube cases

only one problem: we need the sketches ;)
please search before you ask - a lot has been discussed already!

just have a look at mine, the last one on the page. I have prepared some makrolon inside of my gamecube case and just have drilled a hole for the wode joystick. if you are able to do this you can mask the area where the screen is and just paint the area around the screen.

just an example.
