My official GC RGB-Scart cable connects to the Digital port on my GC.
Yes, the analog, and digital port are both different. (From the Wii, that is)
kevstah2004 wrote::roll: I know that I have both on my GC. I asked if the analog port on the GC is different to the one on the Wii.
Yeah, I ment to say that. Yes they are different.
kevstah2004 wrote:I confused myself the analog port is for component not digital.
Digital port is for component. When component is being used, analog (composite) port must still be used for the audio.
(Am I right?, I'm confused now lol..)

Can my last two posts be deleted to avoid confusion as well as Darkmystery's.
Corrected posts with proper info, which makes Darkmystery's responses void.
Yes I believe your right about having to run two cables in dual for component and audio on the GC.

Sintendo wrote:Nintendo used the same AV out connector on the SNES, the N64 and the Gamecube. This means that an RGB SCART cable for the SNES also works on the Gamecube. Well, in theory at least, since the consoles still have to output the signal themselves (the PAL N64 lacked RGB altogether, for example)
Yes, you are right, it is the same connector (multiav).
You are right, the console has to actually output the rgb signal,
but there is a difference in the rgb output of a pal snes and a pal cube.
If you try using a cube rgb cable with a snes, you will get a black screen most of the time,
that is caused by the capacitors in the color lines.
You can remove them and then use this modified cable.
Sometimes you need to add resistors (if the colors are too shiny).

Here is the mod: http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/ninte ... es-rgb.htm

Also you can mod a pal rgb cable to a ntsc fake-rgb cable: http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/nintendo/gc-rgb.htm
