That would be great, thank you :)

I'd love to get my hands on that Pikmin 2 demo one day, and Fire Emblem would be the other one

Thanks for those two. I will have to try and get the internal game names too.

I picked up some new demo disks today that are already in this list. What I didn't know however is that they don't work without a memory card. When they start up, you have to pick a country and rating which gets saved to the memory card. So you can choose if you want to show 18+ content or only 16, etc.

I'm very interested in all demo discs that include a playable demo of Star Fox Adventures, as the one of July 2002 includes A LOT of files from Dinosaur Planet (you should know what that is :P) Here's a video about it for the people that don't: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1GGWiIfJr0

I and others have been finding a lot of things back of Dinosaur Planet. This is the discussion tread (linked post is of my latest find): http://jul.rustedlogic.net/thread.php?pid=429182#429182

I even programmed a MusyX Player using the (duh) MusyX SDK, Dolphin SDK, CodeWarrior GC and ProDG so I could playback unused songs from DP / SFA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCbpe7Udl5w & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oc6K6pnz7SQ (emu_kidid, yes that's the Viper GC Extreme you sent me like two years ago! I'm loving it!)

I also did an interview with Dinosaur Planet's and Star Fox Adventures' lead developer Phil Tossell: http://hugo-peters.tumblr.com/post/6806 ... rom-phil-1

The demo disc of july 2002 includes basically all, or 90% of the files from Dinosaur Planet, including over 1 hour of voice acting, all songs in MIDI format (though people are having quite some trouble with properly extracting them), audio samples, sound effects but also models, locations, N64 compiled code (though not the main executable :( ) and much more. So I would love to see what's on the other demo disc... maybe some "holy grail" stuff! Anyways, would really appreciate it if anyone wants to upload the ones including SFA demos.

I don't think so... MusyX songs are special .midi files (the manual says they're comparable to .midi but not compatible) and require MusyX sample files and more (.proj, .samp, .sdir, .pool).

Yeah I need to update Swiss :P though for some reason v0.3 gives me an exception error when loading my MusyX player off of my WKF... BTW is there any way to cancel Swiss v0.3 for looking for a WKF SD card? Now I need to swap my SDGecko one with the WKF one, super annoying :geek:

Thanks for the PM!

Do you have this July 2002 demo, can you provide what else is on it. Thanks

I didn't know the game was going to be released on a 512 MB cartridge, so that's 4096 Megabit. Not a big fan of the Star Fox franchise, I guess it's because I never played it on Snes or the N64, but Starfox Adventures I enjoyed on the cube, maybe because it had less shooting more platforming

Dinosaur Planet, Donkey Kong Racing, I wonder how it all would've turned out if Rare wasn't bought. Could you imagine another Banjo or Conker on Gamecube

I don't have the disc but I do have the ISO. For the rest it contains a Super Monkey Ball 2 demo and a Beach Spikers demo.

Dinosaur Planet would've actually released on a 512 Megabit cartridge, not 512 MB :P

The guy in the video you linked said it was 8 times larger than Resident Evil 2 which is 512 Megabit, not 64. Thanks

I'm pretty sure the information regarding this has been altered by many as every source claims something different. I'll ask it to Phil in the next interview.

The normal N64 cartridge memory range is from 0xB0000000->0xC0000000 which is 256 Mega Bytes, so a 4096mbit wouldn't have fit unless if it was doing something crazy in the cartridge hardware itself to flip between two 256MB banks.
