Hi,
Just wondering if it is possible to force 480p on the Gamecube via the analog channel? Or does it always switch over the digital AV output?
The reason I ask is because 480p over RGB SCART is actually possible on a modded PS2 and also on the Dreamcast with Toro (http://www.beharbros.com/#!toro/cfom). The problem is that most TV's do not support this non-standard mode, however the mini framemeister does support this.
If possible, this would produce an image that is actually even better than 480p using official component cables (much cheaper too).

Re: Forcing 480p over SCART?
It's not possible, people have tried, the encoder chip doesn't output anything in 480p mode. Nothing guarantees that it will look better than component, the GameCube is designed for YUV, not RGB. Check out GC-video instead.
