Who here cleans discs before burning them? I know, I do.

Sometimes I come across discs with lint on them. I try to get rid of them to ensure a good burn. Who else has come across this? I wonder if its okay to clean before burning.

If by cleaning you mean checking the disc for dust and wiping it off before writing to it, then yes. If you mean using a cleaning solution, then no. You should get a better disc brand if they're coming that dirty right off the spindle!

A eye glasses cleaning kit would probably be ideal as it uses alcohol 'dries without residue' and a scratch free cloth plus it could probably be purchased at your neighborhood Dollar Store.
