I got an WKF version 1.5. I'm using wii 4.3E.
I downgraded it to 1.0 using swiss and an sd adapter. Everything went fine.
It recognizes the sd card, but when I start a wii game I get a black screen with program error.
I tried the 1.5 updat,e but it doesn't start, the same black screen with errors.
I also tried the 1.2 recovery image. Everything went fine, but after asking for restart, the same error.

Here's the error: EDIT: I've flashed swiss r451 and gamecube games work so the chip isn't dead. I just need to flash it somehow to 1.5 retail.

You're supposed to write the recovery image to the card using a tool like dd or win32diskimager.

Thank you. I just did that. Everything went fine: erasing, writing and verifying. After that it told me it will restart in 9 seconds and black screen with text: Exception (program) occurred! And some more text GPR00 to GPR31 ending in Stack dump:
PS: the wkf now says vaersion 1.2 but i still can't boot anything from sd card. I get the same black screen with text.

I've tried multiple times. Same thing happens. The 1.2 recovery image is for all regions? My console is PAL. I'm asking this because update 1.5 is region based.
I've tested something else. I've used swiss r451 recovery image and flashed swiss_r451.fzn and swiss_r451.fzn.fw. And it works nice with mario sunshine. So the chip isn't dead.
Just need to restore it somehow to 1.5
