Is it possible to install/run non gci files off of a standard memory card (such as z64) for gamecube ?

I have a 128mb memory card and am using gcmm to transfer files onto it, can i boot a z64 file off of it ?

Note: That's megabits. It's only large enough for one ROM. I can't say I've ever thought of supporting this...

I understand thats not alot of space, just curious about it because i ran out of mini dvds and my gamecube is my dad

Like Extrems said, this isn't supported, mostly because of space constraints. 16MB capacity means that in practice you won't be able to fit 16MB ROMs unless trimmed, which excludes the majority of games. You can get an SD adapter for very cheap, so it was never deemed worth it.
