Widescreen codes for Swiss, but with disc games instead of backups?

Post by clarkdv » Fri May 24, 2019 1:02 am

Basically I wanna do widescreen codes using SWISS, but I prefer to use discs instead of backups. Can I setup a file or files with all the widescreen codes for my games, and load them for a disc game?

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m pretty noob at this stuff, but how would I set up the file or files?

Like how do I know the identifier for the ISO if I’m not using an ISO backup?

You could use the dolphin wiki to search the name of the game in question and find the identifier from the dolphin wiki page.

https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Main_Page

Search bar in the upper right hand corner.

Or this website: https://www.gametdb.com/

Search bar in the upper left hand corner.

Good luck!

In Swiis, you have this info, when loading a game from a disc.
But why bother finding AR codes for WideScreen, while you have SWISS setup for that?

Because Swiss' patch does nothing for frustum culling.

Ok, it's for the FOV enlargement, to avoid seeing popping and disappearing objects on the screen border?
