I know that microSDHC has compatibility issues in some cases when using cards around the 2-4GB range, but I have never personally tried a 16gb sdhc. Why not just get a 16GB full size SDHC since it will have to go in a converter anyway?

I use a 4GB microSDHC in an adapter to load cheats and load games.

It works great for both things.

Maybe a stupid question, but I read most apps for the DC have been/are being re-written for use with the SD-adapters in mind.
Wouldn't it just be fairly easy (considering the simplicity of it compared to let's say Swiss?) to just rewrite SD-load to be compatible with SDHC cards?

Ask emu to rip his SDHC code and write your own SDload.
Don't forget to give emu credit when you did ;)

...I was actually counting on one of you regulars here
Atm, I'm quite busy with other things and still have to finish up my DC mods (and I'm not much of a devver anyways).
Well, I hope it can be done quite easily.

SDLoad is quite dated. It is so dated that it's not even built using libOGC. If we were to get the SDLoad source, and re-build it with libOGC, it's essentially a new application. Why are people still stuck on SDLoad?

Because it's tiny enough to fit as a plugin in viper. :D (I use it only to launch swiss these days though)

Indeed. Unless Swiss fits as a plugin (which it doesn't), this is the only solution for direct boot of an SD-card on a regular Viper without booting it from DVD.
A new funky SDHC loader would be nice.

what about one that just booted another loader transparently, would that do? (i.e. look on sdhc card in both slots and try to find autoboot.dol) ?
