How exactly does one rip a beta?
It's on an NR disc, right? I have an 8164B, but even the switch method doesn't work.

What exactly do you mean by an NR disc? I've Never encountered a GC disc that can't be ripped. though I've never worked with a beta though I don't see any reason why it would be un able to be ripped.

it's not on an NR. the beta-test version was once leaked onto the internet. it's on a normal disc...thats making problems right now :/

Sorry liquitt, the wikipedia link was not for you, but for the others, who didn't know chunsoft released a beta disc...

wikipedia wrote: A beta test version of the game was produced which can be recognised by the simple monochrome packaging and user guide. The disc and packaging are labelled "Not for sale" and "TEST DISC" (in Japanese), which also appears on the title screen. A disclaimer is displayed when the game is loaded.

CHUNSOFT gave away 1,000 copies of the beta test version as prizes in a competition shortly before the release of the game in 2005. Winners were selected randomly from customers who preordered the game between 10th and 25th February. These "free trial versions" enabled players to try out the opening stage of the game only; the first adventure ends when the player reaches the next region in the game. Those who had ordered the Broadband Adapter bundle received their copies in time for beta testing of the network (from 15th to 27th March) making it possible for them to try out the multiplayer Internet Adventure mode too.

Games saved in the test version cannot be loaded in the full version of the game.

You should have a project page or something available to collaborate efforts...
