I looked through all that source code I had for the GCoS15-install.zip, basically you need dol2gci.exe which will write a header to the DOL file starting with DOLX.

thanks for the answer (and the cool software). i tried your software for writing the files to memory card and booting level3.dol and failed miserably as the original exploit needs either a 59 blocks or 251 blocks official gc memory card. and i have a 3rd party 256 megabit memory card and a 1019 block action replay memory card.

even 251 blocks (about 2 megabytes) is not really enough for a full homebrew setup on gc memory card.

who was the real owner of the exploit and what exactly is preventing it to be used with 1019 blocks nintendo cards and 3rd party memory cards? wouldn't it be great to just boot from memory card with an action replay disc?

You can build one yourself - http://code.google.com/p/swiss-gc/source/detail?r=239

Basically, just build swiss as normal, then do what it says in here: http://code.google.com/p/swiss-gc/sourc ... readme.txt
