Hello...
Hi guys, I'm new here.
In actuality, I was referred here by Demonic722 of GameHacking's forums, being as I'm a Dolphin user these days.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know a few of you guys here, especially any of you who are also into using Dolphin.

Re: Hello...
By Dolphin do you mean the actual GC or the emu ?
Anyway, welcome here.

Re: Hello...
My bad...yes, I'm talking about the emulator. I've gotten so accustomed to it, that I've been using my own GC and Wii saves with it, through the usage of the Homebrew Channel on Wii, and GCMM. They've made my GC experience even better than what it was several years ago.

Welcome!
PS Streetwalker, no one refers to GameCube as Dolphin in this day and age..

Re: Hello...
Lol yeah, I usually call it dolphin-emu myself.
And it's indeed awesome. Playing Wii games on it make me feel like that's what the Wii was meant to be. Nintendo made a huge mistake not supporting HD, and not adding digital out.

Re: Hello...
I've played a couple of Wii games on Dolphin too, but the inability to use either of the sensor bars I have (one that came with my Wii, the other came with my Wii U) has me curious to ask a question:
To play Wii games that can make use of (or require) a sensor bar in Dolphin, should I buy a USB sensor bar, and if so, which one would be my best bet?

Re: Hello...
Any sensor bar will work. You can even buy a wireless one. Or use candles.

Seriously. Explain?

Re: Hello...
The sensor bar is made up of a couple IR LEDs and the wiimote recognizes any decently powerful IR source. A lit candle is hot, hence it emits a fairly good amount of it.

Re: Hello...
Make sure you use two candles then.

Re: Hello...
Thanks guys, but I don't think I'm going to go with the candle option.
That reminds me, would artificial candles be able to give off enough IR for a Wii remote pointer to work, even with a lack of heat?
Also, I did a little research earlier, and found one on Amazon.ca (being as I'm Canadian) that works, but for some reason, a person who bought it mentioned in their review that it doesn't work if a nunchuk is plugged into the Wii remote being used?
So yeah, that's an issue I can't afford to have if I wanted to play any Wii game on Dolphin that requires a nunchuk and sensor bar.

Re: Hello...
I don't see how this could cause problems. Most likely the guy did something wrong.
Re: Hello...
Yeah, simply plugging in a nunchuk can't affect the operation of the (passive) sensor bar. Depending on the game running at the time, it may have disabled the wiimote's "pointer mode" in favour of the nunchuk's joystick. Or it might have just been a buggy Dolphin version that had issues with extension controllers, causing it to drop the wiimote connection.

Re: Hello...
Ah, okay, thanks guys.
Anyway, what forum do I have to go to if I wanted to make a Dolphin-related topic about any particular game for the GC or Wii?
Being as some games can have problems (e.g. crashing) that may or may not be on some versions, I have more than one version of the emulator.

Re: Hello...
That would be the Dolphin forum.
Re: Hello...

Haha well some people find it pretty rude, just like RTFM and that kinda stuff.
