I'm a relatively new modder here with general understanding of how gc modding works. I was curious if there was a way to use the optical logic board (the one where you solder the xeno mod chip to) and solder an sd card reader to the board and use the xeno mod chip to boot to sd instead of optical disk via custom bootloader flashed to the xeno mod chip?
Just to make things even more interesting put a switch on the xeno mod chip to allow you to switch from sd card reader to optical disc drive...

Any thoughts would be appreciated... I would really like to see if the optical board itself be used instead of using third party devices other than the xeno mod chip.

Hello. Already speculated.
I don't know if here would be the ideal place for the subject in this post.
but there is documentation about the unit ...

see if you can find out the possible pinouts for an SD ...
do you have any idea how you intend to make the cube read this SD?

Better Idea, I just found out about the Build-Ur-Own-Xenogc... is there a way that I can mod the source code to build a swiss.dol and boot that by pressing a button combo?
