Hi there everyone!
Couldn't find any "Introduce yourself" topic so I thought this could be the best place to do it. If that's not the case, my apologies, please move/erase it.
I'm from Uruguay and I stumbled upon this great forum about a week ago. I must say I'm loving it.
Having a NES, SNES and N64 during my childhood, I just can't find a sustainable reason as of why I never bought a Gamecube. Fortunately, I recently corrected this by picking up a Jet Black GCN for the cheap price of US$20 (a real bargain if you look around this part of the globe). There was a downside: I needed to buy all the stuff to make it work.
Couldn't help myself and decided to make some research over the web to figure a way of modding a PC ATX PSU to power the cube . Turns out you can! (Duh! ). Anyways, borrowed my N64's composite cable, plugged the custom made connector to the PSU in and suddenly... it was alive once again yay!. Got my wavebird from eBay and waiting for genuine PSU + Monster Cable S-Video (Component is TOO expensive). Time to make it up for the little guy.
Hoping to learn a lot from you and this great site.
See you around...
M.
Hello world!
Re: Hello world!
Welcome.
Don't spend your money on the component cable, people on eBay think they can sell it for the same price as a new Wii + component cable . Instead, probably megalomaniac will release his homemade multifunctional adapter soon : http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewto ... f=26&t=770 .
