Security Packaging
I have recently come across a version of madden 06 that is still sealed and packed in a large GameCube branded “Anti-theft device”. I obviously know the purpose of this large fairly obnoxious packaging is to make it harder to run out of a store with a sealed copy of a game. However I am wondering if anyone knows more about this? Like maybe what store it came from or the rarity of something still in this packaging? Any additional information helps because i know pretty much nothing about it and have had trouble finding anything similar online.

Re: Security Packaging
Pretty rare, in my experience. Haven't seen one of those in a long time. Stores like GameStop figured out that there's less theft if they gut games and put the empty cases on the shelf. I'd imagine those anti-theft devices died out because it's too much plastic and not worth it.
