Edit Zelda Collector's Edition

Post by deku_scrub » Fri May 28, 2010 4:59 pm

Hello!

I have the Zelda Collector's Edition, dumped by OneUp.

So, i want to replace the Zelda Ocarina of Time ROM inside there and put the translated version in it's place. Cuz i have a brazilian portuguese version and want to replace so i could select zelda ocarina of time in the Collector's menu and play it in portuguese and so.

I'm not sure of what i need to do. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance! ;)

1) Open GC-Tool v1.20;
2) then open your Collector's Edition disc image;
3) browse the disc's file system and find "majora.tgc" (I don't know how it's called exactly) and extract the file;
4) find a program called "tgctogcm.exe" and use it to convert the tgc file to a gcm file;
5) open the converted gcm in GC-Tool and replace the ROM image with your translated one.

I hope my information helped you. :)

Yes, i know this, but what i want is different.

I want to replace the ROM ocarina of time for an translated version, and open it in the collector's edition menu.
I want Zelda Collector's Edition to work like the original one, but with zelda ocarina translated.

Anyway, thanks for trying to help! :)

do what DSman59 said, but after you've modified the gcm, use gcmtotgc, put it back into the collectors iso.

Humm, but that will replace the Majora's Mask, then i select Majora's Mask and it'll load my Ocarina Translated version?

Hey, i googled but i CAN'T FIND gcmtotgc, i googled for it somedays ago and couldn't find it too.

If someone could upload it to our Dowload section, i'll be very thankful. :)

I FOUND IT!

I found!

I found in eurasia.nu. Seems the original website from this App is dead, thank god eurasia.nu is a mirror.

I'll upload this thing for us here in the GC section. ;)

Success!

Look what I did.

1- Open the Zelda Collector's Edition with GC-Tool from Paradox.
2- Find and Extract 'zelda_ENG_090903.tgc'.
3- Use 'tgctogcm' to convert it to gcm.
4- Open the new .gcm with GC-Tool.
5- Find 'zle_f.n64' and replace it with your translated Zelda Ocarina of Time ROM. Press NO when it asks if you whant to change the TOC.
6- Close the .gcm and now use 'gcmtotgc' to convert it again to .tgc.
7- Open the Zelda Collector's Edition with GC-Tool from Paradox.
8- Find 'zelda_ENG_090903.tgc' and replace it with your new .tgc. Press NO when it asks if you whant to change the TOC.
9- Close the .gcm
10- DONE. :D

I played this edited Zelda Collector's on my Wii loaded with the WODE modchip. Everything runs as I expected and wanted!! :D:D:D

Very Happy! *-*
