Xeno GC not reading my backups

Post by Plastic » Tue Jun 05, 2012 2:47 am

I am 100% it is installed right, the person who I bought it from is very reputable so there shouldn't any problems there. My media is RITEKG04 01 and I burn all my games at 2x so I have no idea what is wrong.

Do the leds light up?
Pressing start while booting takes you to the shell?
Did you adjust the pot?

Describe what happens step by step.

Try booting an original and hold down the start button the whole way, until the game is loaded. If a shell boots up then the XenoGC is working and you'll need to adjust your laser pot or clean the lens.

Yeah, It boots up the shell but I can't see it since I don't have a PAL TV.

Then it's the pot.
Just google around and you'll find tuts...

Just to be sure, clean the lens very carefully with a q-tip and some alcohol, and try a backup again.
Messing with the laser's power isn't that dangerous, but doing what we can to help it a bit doesn't hurt, and prolongs its life too.
