SD Gecko and Xeno GC

Post by HudyPL » Wed Aug 15, 2012 8:45 pm

Hi

I have a question for you.
How to play backups from my SD gecko?

I have chip a Xeno GC on my Gamecube and I would like to know how to play my backups from SD Gecko.

Do i need a boot disc with special program to open program from SD Gecko ?

If yes, what program I need and how to do this ?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Greetings from Poland

Burn Swiss on a DVD and you're good to go.

No, depends on the homebrew, Swiss does the job fine with SDHC.

Port A is the saving slot for games I believe, remains port B. Also your questions has been answered some times on the forum (and wiki), so time to investigate.

Normally you burn an ISO, so why not this time? Since you are running a PAL GC (on a PAL TV), swiss(pal).iso is your choice.

Thanks man !!

Everything is great, Swiss work perfectly.

I have last question !!

Can i run Swiss through the Action Replay ?
-->BUT WITHOUT XENO GC !
Swiss would be on the SD Gecko and games emulators too.

I can buy this one in Poland
http://www.robson.pl/produkt,3338,action_replay.html

Or this

http://games-box.pl/action-replay-dla-k ... p-317.html

Is expensive so I need to know.

Thank you for your patience :)

Yes, you could chainload swiss with an action replay disk through sdload...
But it has some problems and disadvantages, needs a bit of extra work and i would not recommend it.

You need atleast:
Action Replay Disc
Memory Card
SDLoad AR code (link)
SDLoad's sdpatch
a normal (non-hc) sd card (<=2gb)
swiss and other software executables

and maybe:
a bigger sdhc card (games and roms can be big)

CAUTION: If you think to use the AR method, don´t buy the new version (the last link you posted), because you cannot introduce new codes like in old AR discs. If you want an easier and not expensive way to softmode your cube I would recommend SD Media Launcher, from Codejunkies, the guys also behind Action Replay.

Hi, I think buying AR sucks this time as he has Xeno on board. The cheapest way would be buying Wii Key SD Adapter online and he would be ready to go.
