my attempt to make a xenogc modchip
I am very new with PCB manufacturing but, I wanted to learn and creating a mod chip seems to be a good place to start....

looks good...
there are a couple of places i would like you to reconsider to make this better but first, can you repost additional photos of the board without the "xeno" "rev" "gc-forever" "blah blah" flashy naming...it makes it easier to see possible errors without all this unnecessary fluff

all ive really done if show how to improve a bit by making the traces straight and easy to see for first attempt...you this will also make things easier until you are better at etching since angle lines have less width which means less trace...
sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt...
just takes pracetice...
also i did not verify circuit integrity, but something seems a bit off on the mini but im not sure exactly what since i did not verify circuit pinout...just does not seem right..
maybe do the base xeno circuit first without ISP...then after you 100% verify add the ISP??

why did you move the pin from the isp to the R1 pin? And i thought i needed the isp to program it with the xeno firmware? and the mini is my assumption of the pin outs using the date sheet for the two of them by matching signals... the mini require parts a tad difficult to obtain so it may not be made. does the the xeno complete look like its going to work?

Like I said I didn't really look over the circuit...I just showed ways to improve the trace layout..
If that R1 matches schematic, then ignore that scratch out ...
The complete version looks mostly correct but I can't confirm without further examination of your routes..

hey quick question.... the holes on the pcb that i used to connect traces from the front to the back. how do i go about doing it? Do i fill the hole with solder? or is there something I'm supposed to use?

the holes are called vias
they are electroplated holes which make contact thru both layers of the pcb...
this is something which is typically not performed at home...
there are alsoa bastardized version of vias which are like PCB rivets...i would not suggest using those...
instead just leave a copper ring on both layers of the pcb...drill a hole thru the center of the ring...push wire or a brass post thru the hole and solder to both layers to complete the trace...
example: the MEGAdrive PCB uses vias with the old dvd connector legs soldered to each side of the MEGAdrive and the Mainboard...
thats more of a pcb sandwich but i think you get the idea...

thats what i thought but i didnt think it was the correct way to do it.....another question can you solder resits at home. (painting the board green)

it depends on what method you want to use...
lamination, paint and heat, paint and UV light
i build a little UV exposure box and use transparant sheets to expose my photosensative PCBs for etching, and with the UV soldermask i also use a soldermask transparent sheet in the UV box also

can i use it ??? would he work?

could someone tell me about the devices on which we can find these Atmega8 chips?
because this atmega88 is widely found in nobreaks. this one that I found on a UPS.
and more, from what I understand in this post, the megalomaniac said that we have to delete the data from that chip? is it erasable and rewritable?
please don't tell me to buy a new one, because here in Brazil things are more difficult and recycling is the best option.
