Post by s8n187 » Sun Oct 10, 2010 10:49 pm

Problem is i get no Video at all , the Chip's LED comes on though.........

Aswell if i connect one of my other QOOB Pros to the Connector i just soldered in i get Video...........wacky stuff

Can you read/write a BIOS to the chip that is producing the no video output issue?

I had a very similar issue, turns out the chip was faulty! (I could read/write to it fine and the LED on it would turn on as well).

Sounds exactly like the one I had issues with. I didn't go over the board with a multimetre to find the issue but I did get a refund. (mine was not from eurasia, but some other store that I've forgotten the name of)

roger that emu_kidid , thanks for getting back to me.........next time i get a QOOB or QOOBs im going to test them out straight away to confirm if they work instead of leaving it a long time before finding out.

That way i have a better chance of getting a refund or replacement

I just checked Eurasia Forums as i have been chatting to ' modrobert ' ..............and he said to email them with my Order No.

I did just that and may be in with a chance of getting a replacement or refund , fingers crossed.

good to hear!

I think the issue is that these modchips have been sitting around for some time and some components may have failed or become old

I just installed my Qoob pro and have the same problem.. Cube powers up, Qoob status LED on, USB BIOS flashing works however there is nothing on screen :(

Guess I'll just have to remove it, argh! I waited ages to get that Cube back from my brother's friend, just to find out it's as much use as a chocolate fireguard!

Jaecus, does the cube power up with the chip removed but the wiring left in?
