Is it possible to solder a xeno gc and a viper gc extreme in one console?

its very hard to find modchips for the gamecube. in future maybe my viper chip will be damaged then I have still a xeno gc inside my cube and dont need to search a chip.

The Xeno is designed to disable and ignore all drive patching (unless you forcefully disable the Xeno chip via software) - it should behave along with the Viper although I couldn't be 100% sure on that

It's offline now, maybe you can retrieve it via web archive.

There was a guy by the name of noobcube over at thepurplecube.org who had the Qoob, Xeno, and Viper all in one cube. He used a switch to toggle between them. Kind of a neat concept to see how the chips behaved in the same console/drive.

if you want to have a switch to enable or disable your xeno, just connect wires to it instead of soldering it on the pcb. place a switch on these wires and voila!
please search before you ask - a lot has been discussed already!

liquitt your statement is ok but you just need to set a switch to one wire and not to everyone. here is the picture: Image

and by the way the xenogc also can be soldered to the board. you dont need wires or anything. the O is ground potential and when you switch the other pont to ground the xeno gc is disabled.

well my suggestion was the lazy one :D
don't search the ports for the one who powers it - just assume they all do. haha

First solution, Dip Switch, small, cheaper and very easy to find, one, problem, you must take care if you put on two channels xDDD.

Next aproximation, a Rotary Dip Switch, small, cheap, and you don't take care about two signals on. But i think this type have 1 Ground Common...

Other solution an Rotary Switch X Poles X Positions

Image

Another, Multi-Pole Switch, X grouds X poles, maybe you can find this tipe of switch in an guitar shop, they are used in electric guitars.

Other, Slide Switch...

You can buy in this cheap online shop some switches: http://www.futurlec.com/Switches.shtml

Only one problem, they take along time to shipping, about one moth to shipping to Spain for example hehehe, but is very cheap ^_^

And here another reference with a good catalog, with pics, spec...
