IPLboot on Qoob pro doesnt work

Hi,
I wanted to use IPLboot from Streetwalrus, flashed Revision 3 on an empty qoob pro as bios.

SD Card formated exfat size 64GB. Swiss als ipl.dol in root of the SD card.

When I start my cube nothing happens. What do I do wrong?

Could the problem be that I have also installed a Xeno gc?

You have to build from source for exFAT support.

I have solved the problem. Though I have used the exfat supported source it seems swiss still doesnt support exfat. after formating the sd card to fat32 it works.

Yeah, I'm not shipping exFAT yet exactly because of this. emu_kidid is working on moving Swiss to FatFs which should finally bring exFAT support.
That said, there's no good reason to use exFAT on the GC, FAT32 supports 2TiB file systems with 512 byte sectors (maximum SDHC/XC capacity), and the 4GiB file limitation shouldn't be an issue either, unless you're writing some homebrew that can take advantage of such huge files.

It looks like the version of FatFs I was using had issues with exFAT. I've published a new build with the latest FatFs release and exFAT enabled by default. Feel free to try it, but Swiss itself still doesn't support exFAT (that's WIP).

I have a similar problem with qoob pro, i uploaded iplboot r5.2 (iplboot.gcb) from: https://github.com/redolution/iplboot/releases/tag/r5.2
I copied swiss on the sd card ipl.dol from: https://github.com/emukidid/swiss-gc/re ... g/v0.5r990
After starting the GC i got a message for a few seconds:

IPLboot
Trying USB Gecko in slot B
Not present
Trying sdb
Couldn't mount sdb
Trying USB Gecko in slot A
Not present
Trying sda

After a few seconds, the console boots normally.

Do you have ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Does the SD card have to be prepared additionally?
I perform all operations on windows 10

What is the format and size of your SD card? Where do you put it on the console?

I suspect your card is in ExFAT format, or in the SD2SP2, and the IPL boot version you got is compatible with none of that.

I use this adapter:
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1810/ ... 1600682884

I checked various sd cards: 2, 4, 8, 16, 64 GB with different file systems Fat16, FAT32, exFAT.

Ok, so the adapter must plug as deep as a Nintendo Memory card, so it will only have 15mm off the front plate. Recent WiiKey/WiiSD do not always fit perfectly so their board may need a little adjusting, or be hard to plug in otherwise.

Also, I have seen it twice, you have a little bit of plastic, from an SD card, that kept in the slot, so you aren't able to fit it all the way in, it must not keep out more than 17mm.

My reader is probably ok, if the card is inserted I see a message about the missing file.
Where to find good iplboot and swiss?

Are you sure of the naming of swiss.dol your plugin expects to boot?
There are so many flavors around, autoexec, boot, IPL, iplboot maybe? Whatever…

Booting from a chip is supposed to be the fastest and easiest way to boot homebrew, isn't there any howto?

with iplboot you need the swiss.dol renamed as ipl.dol on the root of your sd card....

no need for any howto
