IDea for boot chip.

Post by Diego borella » Wed Feb 19, 2020 1:15 am

idea for boot chip

does anyone know which chip is this? is a wii chip, which one? is it upgradeable, modifiable?
Also, I want to know if these 8 points on the left are SD points.
are looking like sd points to me ...
the chip says Lattice
my idea is to work on a "hack_chip_boot" for NGC

there are also points for an 8-pin CI mosfet.

and just below a 4-position switch.

someone there to give me a tip. :?:

Don't waste your time, this is just a drive patching chip for certain revisions of the Wii drive that allowed it to read backups. It's closed source and specific to Wii. XenoGC is open sourced and does the same thing. HyperBoot is available for non drive based homebrew booting and GCLoader is available as a drive replacement, we're almost too spoiled for choice these days when it comes to GameCube.

I don't want to open a new post. so we add and contribute to that.
my question is: could you create a viper chip to boot with a Playstation 2 Matrix chip?
If so, how would it be possible? :?:

the MatriX chip (original) is the same {pro Asic ap075} as the viper.
the question would be to record the new firmware on the chip, as was done on the Xeno clone.
and electrical schematics, I see this as the limitation and the challenge.
this is another one of my speculations, but they are well founded.
because remembering that IDE-EXI was made with chip recycling. :D
