Definitely a dolphin issue here, if the md5 is correct, cleanrip did its job perfectly.
Dolphin is nowhere near accuracy, there's no way it can run anything better than real hardware, at least for now.

Well, you should probably ask on the Dolphin forum, since this isn't really related to CleanRip. A black screen would suggest that your video driver doesn't support the version of OGL that Dolphin needs or that you've enabled an option that doesn't work on your driver/GPU.

Well, I already asked a different question there, and from what I can tell based on that, that Forum is like a ghost town at all times...

The forum is active, but that doesn't mean somebody has an answer for every question. ;)

Either way this thread is not the right place for your question as we've already determined.

Hi, I've tried my best to find an answer for this online, but I didn't see anything of the sort, so:

If I were to put a NTSC-J Wii disc into a NTSC-U Wii console with CleanRip v2.0.0 on it, would CleanRip be able to extract the .iso file okay?

Sorry if this is a too old thread but I thought this would be the right one.

I like using CleanRip to dump my Wii and GC games, but I have noticed that the gc.dat and wii.dat which are downloaded from this page are very old.
Could these files be updated?

The GC.dat can be found on Redump.org here: http://redump.org/downloads/

The Wii.dat was paused on Redump.org as the Wii would be "too new". But friendly people over at the Dolphin forum kept the file updated.
it can be found here: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-r ... i-dat-file

Would this be possible?

Thank you :)

You know that it will read them out from the root of the device that you're dumping to, right?

Yes, I do know that. :)

But since the online downloading is a feature I thought it might be a good idea for all users to update the files.
They seem really outdated.

I'll update them, I used to have it grab them direct from redump but they didn't appreciate that ;)

Hi,
It's me again.

I know there are tons of things that are more important than updating and supporting an old program.
I fully understand this and I really don't want to seem intrusive.

Maybe you have just forgotten about it, or other things are more important.

I just wanted to ask if there is maybe a chance of getting it updated :)

wii.dat is Nintendo - Wii - Datfile (3301) (2019-01-06 02-27-15)

So I've run it now twice and it seems like the wii.dat doesn't get downloaded. Whenever I press "A" to download the files, the program hangs (don't know if intended) and after a while it resumes without any message and just brings up the next screen. After ripping the game, it said that it couldn't confirm the dump, because there was no file. I checked my USB and SD card, and both only had the "gc.dat".

I deleted the file and tried again, both USB and SD, but the only file to get downloaded was the "gc.dat".

I now just manually moved the file to the SD card and USB, maybe it's a http time-out problem or so?

if((res = http_request("www.gc-forever.com","/datfile/wii.dat", xmlFile, (1*1024*1024), 0, 0)) > 0).

It's because I'd made the dumb assumption that it wouldn't be > 1MB in size. I'll need to fix that and compile a new release of CleanRip (and also update all the libs it uses/etc).

I'll add that to my todo list.

Sorry if this isn't the right place for questions, I'm new.

How do I combine the parts of a ripped iso to make it into one playable iso? (Trying to mod NSMBWii)

In Windows, you'd use:

copy /b part1 + part2 + part3 full.iso

to combine 3 files into one file named full.iso.
