DVDtoSD v0.1.1 by emu_kidid

Post by kevstah2004 » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:13 am

This program never fully worked for me on a GC with SDML I just got a black screen, I managed to load it via sdload instead but it'd always fail when trying to dump anything :|
It's a shame the source to SD DVD v0.1g wasn't released imo it worked fine, it even dumped the DATEL.DOL off the original SDML disc :shock:

Yeah but it had chunk dumpin' :-P sdboot 0.4 rc4 works buy ya can't chunky.

I think your bloating swiss a bit, it'd be better to have seprate dols for cheating, dumping, backup loading, file managment etc where in each dol it has a shorcut to load the other dols that way it'd make the backup launcher easier to maintain without bumping into bugs by adding other features and the backup launcher would be smaller in memory leading to less problems, just my opinion to keep it neat like ps2.

uLE = File Managment
OPS2L = Backup Launcher
PS2rd = Remote debugger, Cheating
Kermit = Backup Launcher, Remote debugger, Cheating, Disc Dumping
HDL = Backup Launcher, Disc Dumping <- Dumping is this next to useless though for cd games and dvd-9, Kermit dumps them np.
PS2ESDL = Backup Launcher
ESR = Backup Launcher

I dunno if it is even possible to rip the SDML disc... Never seen it anywhere on the net.

I wouldn't call it bloat - The reason it's better all in one is that if your SD card works in it for example, it'll work for all of its features.

The code for swiss is pretty lean too, most of it is the menu - have you even seen libwiigui for Tantrics emulators? the menu code alone is that is 3-4x the amount of code in swiss.
