Is the SD card code at the bottom correct? I have the official SD adapter but it does not seem to want to work with this code.

Maybe the game is not compatible with HC cards and/or Fat32 format…

Due to its age, the game would only support MMCv3 cards (i.e. a subset of SDSC cards).

I think i may of figured it out but it requires actually playing the game to make it work.

Whilst the japanese version has the SD submenu in easy reach, the PAL version replaces it with the Jirachi gift, which is locked behind conditions in the main game to allow to work. Im guessing this code swaps the function back to the SD menu but still has the conditions in place to make it work...will come back once i figure this out.

Oh and its definitely not the card itself thats the issue, i got it working with the japanese version of the game and animal crossing so its all functional. Im using a 16mb panasonic SD, the same it was sold with.

Isn't it obvious that the code replaces the Special option of the title screen with the SD Card Support menu?

Code: Select all

Replace Special (Title Screen) with ...

SD Card Support Menu (Save Painting to SD Card) [Ralf]
...

However, the code is tested on real GC hardware with a WiSD memory card adapter and several 2GB microSD cards (Kingston, Panasonic, SanDisk) and working fine for me.

I see, I'm loading the codes though Swiss on real hardware. looking though it seems only a few of the cheats work that way. Like widescreen or all cards/money cheats work, but things that swap menus don't. I tried some of the other channel swapping codes and they don't seem to want to work this way either.

The "Replace Special (Title Screen) with ..." codes are FST file swap codes and working only with original retail discs (or 1:1 copies).

Yes sorry let me explain my setup. Im using a real PAL disc on a PAL gamecube, booting Swiss though AR media launcher, with all my files on a 8GB SD in a SD2SP2, memory card slot 2 has the Official Gamecube SD adapter with a 16mb Panasonic SD in it.

Swiss is moving the FST downward in memory, so that kind of code wouldn't work.
