He was a main contributor at GSCentral before it went down. As far as I know he's re-uploading all his work here. And yes, he's done a lot of work.

@megalomaniac: Yep, StarkNebula is right. I'm posting all my old GSC codes from the past 10 years and it
just takes a while to post 15k+ codes. Anyway, I'll post a zip-file with the WiiRD/Gecko thread index as
soon as I'm finished with it (maybe tonight or tomorrow).

@StarkNebula: It's nice to see another old GSCentral community member here at GC-Forever!

Edit: It's done, all old codes posted. Below is a zip-file with a WiiRD/Gecko & Action Replay thread index:

Is it "easily" possible to modify an AR/WIIRD code for a specific aspect ratio ?

I have a 3186x1440p screen in my phone (SD865) (2.2 aspect ratio), and I already modified codes for TLoZ:WW and TP, using a IEEE-754 Floating Point Converter, and it was easy tbh.

But I guess it's not the same for every games. I am interested for Prince of Persia : Sands of time particularly,
and also Lord of the Rings Return of the Kings and two towers. I found WIIRD codes for thoses games, but they did not work, and it was "only" 16:9, not ~19:9 like my phone screen.

For zelda games, Mario kart, etc, it was kinda easy, as the aspect ratio codes are only 1 line, and can easily be converted. However for PoP:SoT, it's a biiig code, so I don't know which part does what, and where to start digging

I might be posting in the wrong topic, sorry

I also might copy this post in other topic if I don't have an answer in some days, not trying to spam the forum tho

edit : The master code and the 60Hz code for prince of persia sands of time works, for pal, but not the widescreen 16:9 one, my game crash at startup :/

Thanks for all

tl;dr : if somebody can tell me how to do a custom aspect ratio code for Prince of Persia sands of time (and possibly the LoTR games) for my phone, 3186x1440.
Also, the 16:9 AR/Gecko codes for PoP:SoT does not work, it crash at startup. Any idea ? PAL version (dunno how to check game version tho)

Nope. Usually, good game hacking skills are needed to modify aspect ratio codes.

Regarding the 16:9 code crash, it's a Dolphin emulator problem: the emulator and some backup launcher are activating codes before the game starts, but all regular codes should be only activated AFTER game start (with the default code handler hook call)!

However, I've added a 2.5 seconds delay to the 16:9 Aspect Ratio code, so it should be also working for the Dolphin emulator (the updated code can be found in the PoP: The Sands of Time thread(s), btw.).

@Ralf@gc-forever: Isn't code activation before game start necessary for the 60Hz codes?

Thanks for the updated PoP:SoT 16:9 code, it works well in dolphin android!

Strangely, the emulator crash when loading a savestate. Even if the savestate was made with the 16:9 code and loading it after the code was loaded (the 2.5sec delay)

I guess it's the way Dolphin handles codes and how it re-apply them when loading a savestate, so the delay is needed when launching the game, but we don't want it whem loading savestate.
I should check with them to fix the first issue so that the old code works without that delay at all

Thanks for all your work!

@gmipf: It's necessary for many 60Hz codes (and some debug codes), but not for all.

@Ralf@gc-forever: I have never seen a 60Hz code working on Swiss. Couldn't we do something about that or how Swiss load codes? Maybe a switch to determine how Swiss load codes?
