Don't you just find the cost of Power Plus/Power Plus P/Defend Plus/Defend Plus P a little... absurd? Well, here's a little code or two I whipped up to help with that issue. (If you have problems with the codes, contact me without delay, and I'll do my best to correct the error.) I call this, "difficulty reducing". That means more power and defense to you, at half the cost.

Have you had an idea or strategy for the Return Postage badge in combat, such as combining it with the Spite Pouch, yet it just seemed too costly to have any sort of usefulness and interfered with your current badge setup? Well, I've done something that not even Ralf, never mind any other hacker, has done yet for this game, and that's the damage value of an item. However at the same time, if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have known how to get where I got... Let me weave my little tale, shall I?

First up, I've done this:

(0x0082 * 0x28) + 0x803108A8 + 0x0024 = 0x80311D1C
(0x0082 * 0x28) + 0x803108A8 + 0x0026 = 0x80311D1E
So, you would be directed here to 311D1C - 311D1D, which would be code 02311D1C as the two cannot operate by themselves, and together you get a 80 36, which tells the game it is a one-use item. Now, let's use 0x0026 instead, and we get 311D1E and 311D1F, which gives the hexes of 75 48. Keep in mind that you need a hex editor and the G8ME01_DUMP80.bin file to find this info out for yourself, and you need efficiency with numbers.

Now, let's combine those two together:

So, now I go here at 367548 (the 80 becoming a 00, thus 00367548) in the BIN, and I find what composes the offensive capabilities of the Shooting Star. At this moment, I've only found the attack modifier of an item, I'll look into what cause status ailments, eventually... in the meantime, here's where the Shooting Star's power is located:

Remember: 00311D1C & 00311D1D have an 80 and 36. Unfortunately, I can't seem to apply this to the Power Plus/Defend Plus Badges and their partner counterparts, yet. Because, some items have a 0000. Oh, and not all items have a 8036, some of them have a 8035.

In the game, Mario can't cause Poison to any enemy, right? Well, here's a code that'll rock your world; with another new discovery in the DUMP file, I've found a way to do just that. I've finally figured out where the Status Ailments are. The Poisoning is set to last for 5 turns.

You felt Charge was underwhelming at only a +2 increase? Here's something to make it better... though, I warn you, Charge has been modded so you get the Fast Status for 5 turns and a +8 Charge power... so, it costs 5 FP for usage.

Here's my new code: the "Frostbite Jump". It makes Jump inflict Ice Damage and has a 100% chance of causing Freeze for 5 turns. I dunno if this works on Fire-based foes. It should; it causes Ice-based damage.

At max, you can only cause 3 damage. I plan to update Gale Force's damage value tomorrow. No matter what, it seems I can't stop Gale Force from ejecting enemies from battle, otherwise you would have "No Eject" variations of these codes.

*The Hurricane of Pain is Gale Force that only deals damage, or pierces Defense and deals damage.
**Frostbite Hurricane is the H.O.P., just with the ability to Freeze for 5 turns and/or deal Ice-elemental damage.

UPDATE 5/4/2015 at 12:05 PM: Until I can get the following codes "Frostbite Hurricane, Ice Damage" and "Frostbite Hurricane, Ice Damage, Piercing" working without freezing the game, those two codes are off the market. The problem is, they do deal Ice-damage, but they can't deal Ice-damage without breaking the game. I've yet to find a solution without help.
