[Trainer] Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - Practice Codes

Post by Zephiles » Tue Jan 28, 2020 6:08 pm

This is a project that I've been working on for a while now, and a lot of people who have had access to it have found it to be extremely useful, so I decided to post it here.

This project is as the name suggests: A trainer for Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door that is intended to be used for practice purposes. The trainer contains many features, a lot of which cannot be found anywhere else. Builds for this trainer exist for all three retail versions of the game, so no one is left out from being able to use it.

This trainer was initially designed to be used for practicing things related to speedruns, but many people have found it useful for other things as well.

A user manual exists for this, which also includes how to install it. The manual can be found here:

I made a small video presentation of the main features of the trainer (Posting the actual link since the embedded feature doesn't seem to work):

As the video shows, the trainer gets loaded into the game's memory, so you don't need any special programs to use it. Furthermore, the trainer can be loaded via a hacked save via arbitrary code execution, so no special loaders are required either. This also means that it can be used on original unmodded hardware, assuming you have a method to get custom save files onto your memory card.
