Questions on the WiiKey Fusion

Post by b.guy11 » Tue Jun 19, 2018 12:29 am

5 years ago I purchased a WiiKey fusion and it sat dormant until I intended to purchase a Gamecube.

Recently I came across a free Wii and intend to use it with the Wii now.

I am looking for instructions for what to do once I chip the Wii.

Is the chip simply plug and play; once I plug it all together, I'm good to go?
How do I load games onto my SD card?
Is there an SD card size limit?
Is there any additional software I need?
How do I update the modchip software?

I appreciate the responses

There is no good reason to use it with a Wii, instead you should use one of the homebrew-based backup loaders which offer a lot more features.
To answer your questions:
- Yes.
- With WBFS manager, unless you intend to use Swiss (but you will lose the option to play Wii games), in which case you just format the card as FAT32 or exFAT, and put files on it the normal way.
- It will accept any size, including SDXC, but it won't read past the first 64GB. I don't know if the WKF menu will accept them, but it will work with Swiss.
- Not really.
