Anyone got any interesting game hacks.

I like hacks to games I am familiar with, at least when they are well done - gives them a boost.

Most of these work in the relevent emulators for GC and wii.

Bubble Bobble Lost Cave - http://lostcave.wordpress.com/ Levels from the home conversions hacked into the arcade game.

SplatterHouse Chrome - http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/520/ Maniac hard remix of PC Engine SplatterHouse.

Final Fight Hack CPS1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RhgvxADzZg

Im a big fan of the Pang/Buster Bros games which is why I have an interest in Monster World - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0FzNWwD8Ik its not great, the sound is rough and it allows the player to do a little bunny hop jump which is pretty pointless.

Not tried these others yet -------------

Legend Of Zelda Forest Temple in GoldenEye 007 Deathmatch - http://www.retrocollect.com/News/ocarin ... -pack.html

GameCube NHL Hitz 2003 updated roasters - http://www.retrocollect.com/News/gamecu ... -more.html

Gradius NES - http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/1402/ Vic Viper with Luigi head transplant :o

EDIT:
I see the translation of Rhythm Tengoku is complete - http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1762/ GameBoy Advance - One of the very best games on that system.

Another Mario Bros. was so much fun, they made it more challenging than the original which is what we needed

I have played the Summer Sun and the Holiday Special but didn't know they finally released Newer

Thanks :D

GoldenEye X, I've spent quite a few hours on that game, 4 player is awesome too if you can still find 4 people who want to play N64 (all too rare these days) ..

A mod I spent a few hours playing around with just cause it's so damn cool:
Back to the future Hill Valley (GTA Vice City mod with time travel/detailed&flying/deloreans/etc):

another "interesting" hack is "Super Nazi Penis Cartel Freedom Fighters 1337". It's a Super Mario Bros 3 (NES) Hack. Check this video out.

Here's romhacks I did / was involved with programming. All of these romhacks run 100% on the real original hardware:

Marioland 1 / Metroid 2 both converted into full colour gameboy color games:

Street Fighter 2 champion edition CPS1 arcade romhack, "Sheng Long Edition" version 7.3:

Street Fighter 2 champion edition CPS1 arcade romhack, "Punishment Edition" Version 1:

Obviously punishment isn't meant to be taken seriously.

I've done other small romhacks like yoshi's island without the annoying mario crying noise. That's about it for now.

That final fight hack looks wicked going to try it out!

What's my personal favourite romhack of all time? Rockman 4 minus infinity:

http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/910/

Minus infinity runs on real hardware I built a repro of it:

This gta hack wins so much.
