Oh, by the way, are you actually going to support GlideN64 for your next version (in fact most plugins for that matter) so that glitches that use N64 special effects are less likely to happen? we could use interchangeable plugins right? And another question... are you developing this mupen64plus derivative like it's on Linux?

Plugins are statically linked in Wii64, so they wouldn't be interchangeable, but there will be 2 builds so far, one Rice, one glN64.

We are still using mupen64 with some mupen64plus patches that fix things in games.

Awesome :)
Might be interesting to see how each game reacts to each build.

That's good to hear.
I hope we get the new build(s) this year.

I've read on WiiSX dev plans that they're going to implement hardware acceleration in the future. If it happens - can we expect speed boost on GC version?

So what's up?

A few days ago, Amiga Wii emulator was updated. One of the recent changes was ''Added 320X240 resolution (more emulation speed)''. Sure enough it made some games that had slowdowns before (like the awesome Lionheart) to perform flawlessly at full speed.

I was wondering, could a similar trick be deployed on Wii64 as well, (as an option) in order to get a big "free boost" in speed for many games? It would instantly make many more games playable.
Finally, any word on latest progress so far?

Rendering to the framebuffer isn't the slow point of Wii64.. It's progressing I guess.

Thanks for having the patience of putting up with our abusive demands over the years. People tend to act as if there's no other way to play N64 games...

Am I the only one that hopes (and prays) for a Wii64 update as a nice Christmas present?

Nope. I am in the same vagon. I use Not64 daily, my playcount is in the 2000+ for Not64 channel now according to my USBLGX loader.

Anyways, Merry Christmas to anyone reading this, and happy 2015 :)

I tried this release on wii (homebrew channel 1.1.0) with the games: Banjo, Goldeneye 007, Donkey kong, Blast Corps, and Conkers bad fur day. Unfortunatly this version did'nt improve. By the way in version 2013 Conkers bad fur day was running, now on this update the game doesn't work. "black screen" Somebody else tested others games?

Posts like these are what dampen the motivation of developers. Do you really think Extrems released a new version of Not64 in the hope to reduce compatibility and the overal experience? Of course there might be issues but there's certainly improvements too!

Banjo-Kazooie runs faster than realtime and the attract mode doesn't desync.
GoldenEye 007 and others are closer to full speed.
Conker's Bad Fur Day never ran in the dynamic recompiler in a public release.
