A bunch of N64 Romhacks I tried to test

I tested a lot of SM64 romhacks, including SM64 Chaos Edition (in an earlier post), but all of them were unsucessful. I'm not sure why, but they looked oversized, and wouldn't load, even after I extended and PPF patched all the roms. See, this is exactly why I don't like patching SM64.

SM64 Gameboy Edition ( approx 62 MB) (Shows Japan from ROM info)
-Wouldn't load.

Super Mario 74 (approx 62 MB)
-Wouldn't load.

Star Revenge 6 (exactly 48 MB)
-Would load, showed save select screen, then crashed upon loading.

The Final Star (Approx 62 MB)
-Wouldn't load.

I don't know what's wrong, is it the patchers? upon extending every Super Mario 64 (U) [!] ROM, It showed 24 MB. Can you guys try all these roms yourself? I got all these off of http://www.smwcentral.com and used the tool that came with one of the ZIP files.

Apparently you need to load them into some other program. If you want to, though, i could just send you some prepatches

Just Look for pre-patched roms because all those work for me maybe not at top performance but they work

I think you 're referring to OoT hack "Zelda's Birthday" which does indeed freeze upon exiting Link's house at the beginning.

Oh i also forgot to mention the excellent GoldenEye X v.5c hack works fine on Not64 (and plays great with IR controls).

No I'm aware of Zelda's Birthday, it was just another Hack with different tunic colors, different sword and shield design, and i think young Link was able to ride Epona I haven't bothered to look it up. Too busy gaming atm

Using a wiimote & nunchuck combo, from Not64 menu, go to settings->input and map the buttons like this:
N64 analog stick:IR
N64 Cbuttons:nunchuck analog 4 directions (A-up, A-down etc.)
N64 Z buttons: wiimote B button
N64 R button: wiimote A button
N64 A and B buttons: either nunchuck Z and C or wiimote - and +

Set Goldeneye or PD to 1.2 control setting from in game.

Enjoy

Hi everyone. A Turok 3 prototype has been brought to my attention recently, and i tested it with Not64. It's playable if you are curious to check it. See here for more:

BTW, Wii64 not only has given us plenty of N64 retro goodness, but it helped Dolphin development too. Check this out:
