I like this kind of update better than the "Oh please understand the hard work we're doing" type of updates.

A cover mod would be cool :)

But I really don't think we're gonna have one in this release...

I'd like to believe that...I really would. But without seeing some sort of preview video for Wii64 and/or WiiSX....Guess I gotta keep myself occupied. If only Emukidid or Sepp wrote something about it.

Oops  I'll keep quiet. Sorry about my impatience. Could you give us a little hint about this feature?

D'oh! Stupid typo!

I'm just wondering if Wii64 will emulate what the Virtual Console couldn't emulate; the pixel dissolve effects in SM64. Is this implemented? I asked this before but it was ignored?

the_randomizer, test it on Rice 6.1.4 (or newer if there is one) in pj64, does it work there?

If it does, post a screenshot of it in action please :)

Will do! I'll post an update ASAP.

Edit 11:00 PM - Hopefully this screenshot will do a better job explaining my question

(Left side, Rice Video 6.1.4 rev75 from Google code....the right side, Glide64 WX Napalm) For some reason, Nintendo could never emulate this pixel dissolve effect on the Virtual Console. I'm 100% positive that the Wii's ATI Hollywood GPU is more than capable of emulating it. Heck, I have no doubt in my mind that you guys can pull it off! Do what Nintendon't want to do! But to be a little more serious, would it end up causing you programmers to go through absolute Hell implementing this particular effect into Wii64? I'd imagine if one looked at the Glide64 source code, maybe...but who knows?

Glide64 http://code.google.com/p/glidehqplusgli ... e/checkout Oddly enough, this was coded with OpenGL.

Hum... could it be the hi-res texture option? :)

You can put even a microwave, but make Banjo-tooie playable xD

Define playable....If by run then yeah I'd agree but if you mean actually be able to play then hell no.
