Donkey Kong 64 save

Post by NightSalt » Thu Jul 21, 2011 10:59 pm

Whenever I try to play Donkey Kong 64 it doesn't make a save file. When I go to save it says there is nothing to save but I pressed the in-game save button after I got a golden banana at least 5 times so, there I know there is something to save. Is there something I can do to fix this?

It seems to be the only game that has this problem.

Wii64 and DK64 don't seem to get along too well. We've got issues with that game - it uses a different type of eeprom save from the other games, and when we set it up to use it, we cannot even get the game to respond to controller input. so as a tradeoff you can play it but you can only save using Save State (a little unreliable).

So, save using save states but make sure you use a few slots just in case one doesn't save properly.

Thanks. I usually try to avoid using savestates but oh well. Maybe someday Donkey Kong 64 and an eep save file will coexist happily on the wii64.
